Position Summary: The Account Sales Manager will drive positive sales growth for a specific geography or vertical market, managing an average of 30-35 accounts and generating $2 to $3.5 million in annual sales. The role involves using Grainger's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Salesforce, to manage business activities and report to the District Sales Manager.
Key Responsibilities: Understand and respond to customer goals and changing needs. Demonstrate market knowledge and utilize resources to address new developments in customers businesses. Oversee managed inventory tasks to improve customer understanding and increase sales results. Apply Grainger's Value Proposition to develop profitable sales solutions. Create and implement account penetration strategies, including regular business reviews to maximize sales.
Qualifications: 3+ years of direct outside sales experience. Experience in sales forecasting, opportunity management, and customer planning. Ability to travel to customers within the aligned market at least once per month, or more frequently if needed. Strong process discipline and alignment of planning goals with pipeline development. Skilled in uncovering customer objections/concerns and providing appropriate solutions. High School diploma or GED required.
