The Employee Relations Partner will be an objective partner and advisor to People team members and leaders within the business. This role will promote positive employee relations and manage ER activities for various business units across a region by providing counsel to business leaders, employees, and People team partners on both strategic and tactical ER matters such as: internal complaint investigations, employee grievances, workplace accommodations, and performance and behavioral shortfalls.

Responsibilities • Manage investigations into employee grievances and complaints by establishing investigation plans, conducting investigations, and working in partnership with ER leadership to recommend resolutions to business leadership and People team. • Advise managers on effectively handling performance and behavioral issues in line with Indeed’s culture and legal regulations. • Evaluate and analyze situations using relevant data in order to make recommendations, identify gaps and provide solutions. • Prepare and maintain appropriate investigation documentation, including writing summaries and analyses in a fair, concise, and clear manner. • Coach and influence business leaders and People team members around best practices and outcomes regarding sensitive issues, keeping in mind equity and consistency. • Recommend and implement creative solutions to organizational or systemic problems around internal culture, manager effectiveness, performance enablement, or other ER areas. • Provide counsel and support to employees in order to achieve resolutions that are fair and aligned with business objectives. • Collaborate with the HR team in the development of appropriate employee relations activities to drive positive change. • Maintain ER metrics and review on a regular basis to assess where action can be taken to simplify or enhance a process.

Skills/Competencies • 4+ years of Human Resources and/or Employee Relations experience in a fast-paced environment, including at least 2 years of focused experience in employee relations matters including: investigations, advising on employee performance shortfalls, and managing behavioral incidents. • Superb communication skills including effective listening, writing and presenting; ability to express thoughts in a clear and concise manner. • Proven current working knowledge of local and country-specific employment laws and regulations throughout the region. • Proven ability to be an objective advisor for the People team (People Partners and Strategy Advisors), employees, and business leaders by building solid partnerships. • Ability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways and working in ambiguous situations.

New York City Metro Area 80,000 - 120,000 USD per year

Scottsdale, Arizona 60,000 - 90,000 USD per year San Francisco Bay Area 90,000 - 134,000 USD per year

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
