Online Education Assistants (Student Worker)
The Online Education department has exciting opportunities for students looking for part-time work. The Online Education Assistant would work flexible hours between 8:00AM and 5:00PM. This is a perfect fit for those hoping to work 10-20 hours per week. You can work this job around your school schedule.
The work environment is casual, and all work is completed at a desk on a computer. The environment is relaxed, and we typically have student works for several semesters because of the great opportunity for learning and fun environment.

Accessibility Assistant
Accessibility is about removing barriers in education by presenting information in formats that can be used by learners of all abilities. The Accessibility Assistant will help Online Education staff make online course content accessible. Training is provided.
Responsibilities: Check and edit formatting of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF files, and LearningZone content Document and communicate progress on specific projects Perform other tasks as assigned
Content Assistant
Student workers will assist Online Education team members by completing tasks within the Learning Management System (LMS) and other duties as assigned. Training is provided.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR BOTH OPPORTUNITIES: Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new technology Ability to handle confidential matters in a professional manner Detail oriented Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position. Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices. Physical requirements: Excellent verbal, written and listening skills; Must have the ability to sit for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, to enter data into a computer, and to operate additional office equipment; to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; to use appropriate judgment and to apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations; The ability to understand words and respond effectively and appropriately; Attentive to detail, accurately follow written and verbal instructions, work independently, Sedentary/Indoor work environment with a substantial amount of keyboarding required; Must be able to sit for extended periods of time Mental requirements include the ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions about the position. HOURLY WAGE and STATUS:
The hourly rate of pay is commensurate with qualifications as determined by HutchCC administration. This part-time support staff position is not eligible for the HutchCC fringe benefit (including KPERS) package and is nonexempt. Apply Job!
