Position Summary

We have an immediate opening for an Online Elementary Intervention Teacher. This Title I-funded position works collaboratively with our team to actively support struggling students.

To be successful, you’ll need to be a student-focused, creative thinker, and initiative taker. We need a student-focused goal-setter who can take constructive feedback with a good attitude and without pushback. If you like working with others to develop a strategy to advance student performance and then implementing that strategy, we’re probably a good fit.

Job Duties • Implement quality research-based interventions that drive student growth; • Create and/or utilize individualized lesson plans that will drive academic performance; • Collaborate with administration and teachers to support struggling students; • Communicate with families regarding student progress; • Deliver online instruction to small groups; • Assess students in-person and online; • Collect and analyze data to drive instruction; • Document interventions and outcomes; and • All other duties as assigned.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilitie • Background in supporting struggling students; • Wide variety of instructional strategies used to support Tier II and Tier III Intervention students; • Ability to aggregate and analyze data to inform student instruction decisions; • Ability to collaboratively work in teams and with individuals; • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; • Excellent organizational and analytical skills; • Strict attention to detail; • Achieve daily performance metrics; and • Advanced technology skills including basic troubleshooting, site navigation, and proficiency with spreadsheets.

Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree; • Valid Elementary Teaching License; • 3 years of classroom experience and/or interventionist experience; specifically teaching reading and math at the elementary level; • Strong background in technology • Ability to obtain teaching certification in Arizona, Colorado and Washington. • Ability to pass required background checks; and • Ability and willingness to travel to assigned testing locations and physically proctor student assessments.
