Job Title: Remote Customer Service Representative (CSR)
Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Remote Customer Service Representative to become a vital member of our team. In this position, you will deliver outstanding customer service by responding to inquiries from policyholders, clarifying policy details, updating claim statuses, assisting with claim payments, and providing comprehensive policy information. You will handle inbound calls from policyholders and authorized third parties, all while operating in a non-sales capacity.
Your primary objective will be to resolve customer inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner, ensuring an exceptional customer experience. As a CSR, you will participate in training focused on first-contact resolution and customer satisfaction while adhering to established operational standards regarding attendance, productivity, and call quality.
Key Responsibilities Manage a significant volume of inbound calls, averaging between 70 to 120 calls per day. Communicate effectively with policyholders, providers, and other stakeholders. Keep current with any new and updated procedures regarding policy information. Ensure customer needs are satisfied in each interaction, whether conducted via phone, email, or written correspondence. Meet departmental performance standards for call volume, average handling time, and effective time management.
Required Skills Strong oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office applications. Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute. Ability to multitask and perform efficiently under pressure. Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
Qualifications A minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume call center or equivalent role (such as receptionist) is mandatory. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent credential is required. Prior remote work experience is preferred, though not essential. A reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 20 Mbps for both upload and download is required (hard-wired connection). A smartphone is necessary for VPN access. Experience within the insurance industry is advantageous but not a prerequisite. For safety purposes, a fire extinguisher must be present in your home workspace, and a quiet, professional home office environment is essential.
Training Comprehensive training will span 2-3 weeks (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST). Availability for training must be between 7:30 AM and 6:30 PM CST on weekdays. Training is full-time, comprising 40 hours per week.
Post-Training Schedule Following training, you will work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. There are no weekend shifts required unless overtime opportunities arise.
