Job Overview

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our esteemed team. In this pivotal role, you will manage the financial operations for a diverse portfolio of optometry practices, thereby playing a significant part in our commitment to facilitate simplified financial management for our members.

Key Responsibilities • Oversee the bookkeeping and financial reporting for independent optometry practices. • Assist with transaction coding while collaborating with practice owners on pivotal decisions regarding equipment purchases. • Conduct account reconciliations and finalize monthly financial records. • Manage payroll processes, including payroll processing and tax obligations. • Provide comprehensive financial services for up to 60 client practices monthly. • Offer constructive feedback aimed at enhancing our service offerings.

Required Skills • Proficient in QuickBooks Online is essential. • Familiarity with QuickBooks Payroll, Gusto Payroll, ADP, or Paychex is advantageous. • Strong capabilities in Excel, including the use of pivot tables and vLookup, alongside proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications. • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. • Excellent time management and decision-making abilities, paired with a keen attention to detail. • Self-motivated and highly organized, with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Collaborative team player with a commitment to contributing to group success.

Qualifications • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar capacity, emphasizing financial management within a small business context. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively under pressure. • Capacity to work remotely and independently.
