Job Overview

We are in search of a dependable and meticulous Pharmacy Technician to become an integral part of our team in a hybrid capacity. The role requires initial onsite training at our San Antonio office (7034 Alamo Downs Parkway), after which you will enjoy the flexibility to work remotely. It is important to note that occasional in-office attendance may be necessary for meetings, equipment pickups, or other related responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities • Efficiently read, interpret, and input prescriptions into our system with precision and care. • Identify and resolve prescription-related challenges, liaising with prescribing professionals for any necessary clarifications. • Accurately enter all patient and prescription information, assisting in the completion of prescriptions that may lack required details. • Enhance the customer experience by collaborating with healthcare providers for prescription clarifications or alternatives while ensuring accurate data entry. • Contribute to the pharmacy’s daily operations by undertaking additional tasks to ensure smooth functioning.

Required Skills • Strong ability to read and interpret prescription terminology and medications. • High level of typing accuracy. • Aptitude for meeting production and quality standards as established by management. • Familiarity with common generic medications and their routes of administration. • Proficient in dosage calculations, days-supply prescriptions, and basic math, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. • Comfortable interpreting Latin symbols in prescriptions and drafting routine correspondence. • Adaptability and a constructive attitude in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications • Minimum of 3 months of experience in a pharmacy setting. • High school diploma or GED, along with completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program. • Active registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy or Trainee status. • Basic computer knowledge and proficient typing skills. • Candidates must reside within a 30-minute commuting distance from San Antonio, TX; please include your commute time in your resume, along with your Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration number.
