We are currently hiring and Intern to join our Contracts & Administration (C&A) Purchasing team. The C&A Group is a diverse team to include Contracts, Subcontracts, Purchasing, Pricing, Travel, Operations and Facilities.

This group is part of the internal support process within ICF, helping the project teams win and manage their projects. We help shape policy and procedures to comply with government, commercial, state, and local practices to ensure we remain compliant with our client guidelines. Some of ICF major clients include Federal Highway Administration, EPA, Exelon Utilities, LA Metro, CDC, Army Research Institute and Puerto Rico Dept of Housing.

The internship program is a full-time, 10-week commitment starting in early June 2025. The internship can be fully remote from Virginia, or work a hybrid schedule from our Reston, VA office. At this time, we are unable to provide relocation nor housing assistance.

Purchasing Intern

As a Purchasing Intern, you will provide direct support to the ICF Purchasing Team by: • Assisting with the drafting/negotiating Non-Disclosure, Master Services, and Purchase Order Agreements. • Assisting with procurement file compliance, to include drafting procurement award summaries and price analysis. • Serve as liaison between suppliers and business units on purchasing inquiries, processes, and problem resolution. • Assisting with internal data analysis and reconciliation.

You will have exposure on the proposal process from the Buyer’s point of view to include: • Sending out Requests for Proposal (RFP)/ Requests for Quote (RFQ) • Reviewing the proposals and data submitted by suppliers completeness and compliance • Research and verify market and supplier information during sourcing and teaming strategy development

As a Purchasing Intern, you will have: • Interest in government and commercial procurement, research analysis, negotiating, business administration and consulting.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
